More on message boards

So back to this message board with the "lets all think the same" attitude.

One of their boards is dedicated to a shot lived series based on this techno barbarian ending up in the future where he uses a sword to beat the crap out of the same skull faced wizard on a daily basis without actually beating the crap out of the skull faced wizard or even using the sword that often (still no easy feat but what the fuck who cares right?). Now one of the members of this board happens to be the CREATOR of this show.

So I ask why not make him an honorary mod to show our appreciation of his hard work? The answer was NO.

the reason behind this was that "they could not make all professionals mods". Hmm well excuse me but the rest of the board members did not create the show being discussed... but this bloke DID. If the fact that he INVENTED and WROTE MOST of the show does not make him elligible to be a mod of that section of the forum.. what the fucking hell would? Going by my last rant I would have to say to be a mod you must lack anything that could be used as a brain.

True not all professional can be mods and I don't think they should be and indeed was not asking for this. I simply said that as this show would not exist because of this person... he should get some recognition for this and not just be another average joe member (plus he can't be as big a retard as some of the mods on that board)

to paraphrase Forrest Gump :

"Life is like a box of chocolates...unfortunately all the nuts get to mod internet message boards"

Yay New Post (warning bad language)

Well it has been for ever since I posted a rant on my little blog and I felt it was finally time to do so. Now don't get me wrong it has nothing to do with having nothing to rant about as I have plenty of things... nope it all has to do with the fact that I am a lazy bastard who keeps forgetting he even has a blog.

Well so what am I gonna rant about today? Well Message boards and the sheer dumbassed fuckwits who seem to be employed as mods on some of them.

I am (or at least was) a frequent visitor (and member) of a forum dedicated to a certain 80's techno barbarian who used a sword to beat the crap out of a skull faced wizards on a daily basis without actually beating the crap out of the skull faced wizard or even using the sword that often (not an easy feat I tell you), but anyway. So we are discussing the "new" movie that is supposed to be in the works (I'll believe that when I see it) and so decided to post my opinion on a character that I felt was not good enough to be in the film on the basis that said character was shit (tho I worded it more child friendly on the board). All well and good there as you would think that this would be a board where you can discuss characters and say why you like or dislike them (as long as you do it nicely.. which I DID).

NO

Apparently my post had to be heavily modded to remove the bit where I said I did not like this certain character as it may be considered offensive to those retards that do. To me this does not make it a "discussion" board with people from both sides of the fence having a reasoned arguement... it is a bloody palace of kiss ass where you either love everything that everyone else does and agree with them on everything they say or you might as well fuck off and die for all they care as to have your own opinion on ANYTHING that does not coincide with any of theirs is not just unheard of... its fucking illegal.

Digital Webbing Collab Project

Well it has been a while since I posted on here (not the best blogger in the world...I know) but something is happening over at Digital Webbing that has piqued my interest.

Some guy got it into his head (and rightfully so I must say) that we writers and wannabe writers do not collaborate enough (heck we don't really crit enough either but that is a whole different thing), this is problomatic when you consider that the world of comic book creation is all about collaboration. Marvel has a team of workers...not a large body of single workers and this is why they can churn out one quality book after another (tho this has been debatable in the last few years).

Well anyway this bloke got the great idea for us writers to create our own "Universe" in the same vain as Marvel and DC. Of course I was all for this and jumped instantly on board as I have always been interested in creating new worlds and stuff.

Now whilst I am still interested I have to admit that the whole thing is getting confusing. It seems we want everything, from magic to tech, from mutant to human. The problem lies in the fact that they seem to have been separated into "Kingdoms". Marvel and DC universes work not because they separate these different sources of superpowers...but because they show how they all work together in the same universe.

Still it is in the early stages, so for now I am just going to sit back and let the "self-appointed" leaders sort everything out.

Hopefully that should not take too long as I have a limited amout of pa..... ooh what is that????

An old friend

Well I was looking through the interent the other day, the way that you do, and you never guesss what. I came across a site I had not visited in ages...Digital Webbing.

Christ I used to post on there all the time, Little pictures, stories, reviews...anything and everything really, then one day I just stopped.

Fast forward about ten months and I find the place again, different but the same.

Well I guess I'll hang around there for a bit and see what happens...who knows this time I might stay, or I might vanish again.

Oh and Phil (you know who I mean) if you are reading this, please email me. I know you have my email address.

Almost another year over for me

So it is only a couple of more weeks to my birthday, a couple more weeks and I will have lived in this dreary existence called life for yet another year.

And what did I accomplish? What do I have to show for this year of living?

NOTHING

ZERO

ZILCH

NADDA

Didn't do a damn thing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not depressed or suicidal, the truth is I don't care enough to feel that way. I'm just simply mind numbingly bored with everything.

A bit more on animal cruelty

When someone is convicted of animal cruelty charges and the judge bans them from owning animals how exactly is this enforced? Seriously i would love to know and if anyone can tell me I would be real interested (as would a lot of other people I bet)

Unless they have someone following them around constantly telling everyone they meet that they are banned or have it tattooed on their forehead what is to stop these sickos acquiring an animal out of say the classifieds and wanted ads in the local newspaper?

A ban is only effective if it can be enforced. Unfortunately because all of these people cannot be watched 24/7/365 how can it be enforced.

I would love a society where there is no animal cruelty. But, as horrible as it sounds, as long as there are animals there will be people who are cruel to them.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

Have you ever been asked that question? Whether it be at school or a job interview that is the one question that I really hate. Of course I hate all questions about myself but that one is just so annoying. I don't know what it is about the question, perhaps its because I feel that the person who asks the question expects me to give some deep meaningful answer and describe some idealistic perfect life that I will be no doubt living then.

The truth is I expect to see myself exactly where I am now.

People may see that as me being lazy or having no goals in life, but really its just I don't care. No I don't mean I have no feelings, of course I do...I do actually care. What I mean is that I refuse to do what society expects of me.

Example I was expected to go to school, then college, get a job, get married, raise some kids, retire and then die.

I went to school..I did college...then thought sod it. Do I really want to spend the best part of my adult life doing thigs for other people, following other peoples rules and regulations (work related not law of course), or would I rather live a life that I could look back when I am older and say at least I enjoyed myself. Cuz lets face it you only have this one life so why waste it doing what society wants.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea I don't mean be an anarchist and break the law doing god knows what, just ask yourself are you doing the job you are doing or studying the subject you are studying because you like it, or because it is expected of you. If it is the first then congratulations on achieving al lest one of your life's goals. If, however it is the latter. Why not just say enough is enough and I'm bored then quit?!

Today

Today i did nothing of interest whatsoever. I suppose not all days can be full of excitment can they. Oh well. But then it depends on what you mean by exciting.

late for an appointment

Well today I had an appointment at my local job centre plus office, nothing important or serious just an ordinary appointmet that you get every so often if you are 'unemployed'

Well as is my way I was about ten minutes early and expected to be seen on time. Fifty minutes later I was finally seen. No excuses giving for the long wait...instead they almost made me feel as if they thought it was my fault.

Now here comes the stupid part. The person that finally came to see me was not the person I went to see. Instead it was someone to tell me that the person that I wanted was not only not in work today but would not be returning as he had been moved to another department. This move had happened about one week before the christmas holidays... I got the letter for the appointment yesterday.

Seriously these people have no idea what they are doing.

Oh on a side note while I was waiting I watched and listened as a man almost lost his claim for being five minutes late to sign on.

That means if we the public are even the slightest bit late there is serious consequences and we lose our money (which is probably the only source of income we have at the moment) but if the people who work there are late (or don't come at all) they just shrug their shoulders and basically say 'oh well'

Animal Cruelty versus the Law

How comes Animal Cruelty is not giving the recognition that it deserves within the legal system. Here we have the neglect and mistreatment of numerous animals but the most that the perps usually get is a few years ban and a month or so in jail. Like that is going to stop them from doing it. Some how a magical piece of paper will stop them from aquiring a new animal to abuse and neglect. That is just crap and the law knows it, but still they go on.

Case in point. A story in a local paper tells of a badly abused Staffie that had broken ribs, punctured lung and burns on its body which subsequently died of its injuries. This animal could have been saved as it had been removed from its owner previously but then some Jackass judge overturned the order and gave the dog back to the evil bastard of an owner. What punishment did he finally recieve for his crime?

21 DAYS...21 F'ING DAYS. If it had been a child or something then it would have been 21 years + but no because it is only an animal the git only got 21 DAYS. Talk about injustice.

Then in the same paper a gang of yobs stuck a small 3 inch gas cylinder up the rear end of a Jack Russell. What kind of sick perverts get their jollies by sticking things up the backsides of dogs. Freaky little shits

The world is supposed to be shared by all that exist upon it but we humans seem determined to prove that we have no right to exist upon it.
